This work shall consist of one 2" course of plant mixed asphalt concrete placed on a <br /> prepared base of 4"+/- fractured rock in accordance with these specifications and <br /> conforms to the lines,grades,and typical cross-sections shown in the plans. <br /> B. Asphalt concrete shall be open graded (known as porous asphalt), composed of asphalt <br /> and aggregate,which, with or without the addition of mineral filler and blending sand as <br /> may be required, shall be mixed in the proportions specified to provide a homogenous, <br /> stable and workable mixture. <br /> 1.05 PROJECT SITE CONDITIONS <br /> A. Environmental Requirements: In accordance with referenced standard specifications and <br /> the following: <br /> 1. Do no paving in rain or when subgrade or base is wet or frozen. <br /> 2. Do not apply tack coats when temperature is below 50 degrees F. or when base is <br /> wet. <br /> 3. Apply asphalt concrete paving only when temperature is above 40 degrees and when <br /> base is dry. <br /> 1.06 DIMENSIONS AND LAYOUTS <br /> ASPHALT 32 12 00-1 <br />
