HIGH SCHOOL TRACK REPLACEMENT PROJECTS CASCADE HS&JACKSON HS <br /> EVERETT PUBLIC SCHOOLS 4/3/2012 <br /> A. See Contract Drawings for layout track and field events <br /> B. The Contractor is to notify the Owner's Representative immediately if underground <br /> utilities not shown on the Agency's record are encountered. <br /> 1.07 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Contractor shall correct any work that exhibits aggregate separation and soft spots at no <br /> additional cost to the Owner. <br /> B. Repair cracks and unsatisfactory elevation irregularities immediately upon notification. <br /> C. Replace any paving true to grade and/or designed slope. <br /> 1.08 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Submit product data for all materials specified. <br /> PART 2-PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 GENERAL <br /> A. Comply with "Quality Control" provisions, "References", Specifications, and <br /> Manufacturer's data. Where these may be in conflict, the more stringent requirements <br /> govern. <br /> 1. Conform to APAW - Section II, "Specifications for Asphalt Paving" of above <br /> referenced manual. Provide bases, type and thickness of asphalt concrete as required <br /> by type of soils for indicated use. <br /> 2.02 CRUSHED SURFACING BASE COURSE <br /> A. Base course shall be clean crushed rock, Y4" maximum size uniformly graded from <br /> course to fine. <br /> B. The fracture requirement (75% minimum) shall be at least one mechanically fractured <br /> face and will apply to material retained on each sieve size No. 10 and above if that sieve <br /> retains more than 5 percent of the total sample. The portion of crushed surfacing retained <br /> on a 1/4-inch square sieve shall not contain more than 0.15 percent wood waste. <br /> 2.03 TACK COAT <br /> A. Tack coat shall be a diluted emulsion, type SS-1, SS-lh, CSS-1 or CSS-lh, with equal <br /> parts of water. <br /> 2.03 ASPHALT BINDER <br /> A. Asphalt binder for asphalt treated base shall be AR-4000W meeting the requirements <br /> of Section 9-02.1(4)of WSDOT-APWA. <br /> 2.04 ASPHALT CONCRETE <br /> A. All asphalt paving proportions shall conform WSDOT-APWA Section 9-03.8 (6) unless <br /> otherwise noted. <br /> ASPHALT 32 12 00-2 <br />
