1
i
1 I. PROJECT OVERVIEW
' This report details the storm drainage design for the Regional Disposal Company(RDC), Everett
Transfer Facility—Phase 1 Site Improvements project.
1 The project is located in Everett, Washington on the Everett Transfer Facility site that RDC
leases from Snohomish County. The site is located at the south end of Riverside Road. The site is
bound on the north by an access road, on the west by Riverside Road and Burlington Northern
' Santa Fe (BNSF) right-of-way, on the south by BNSF right-of-way, and on the east by a gravel
road near the edge of the Snohomish River. Phase 1 lies along the east side of the site, closest to
the Snohomish River.
The total area of the project site is 15.77 acres. RDC uses the site to load and offload refuse
containers shipped by rail to and from the company land fill in Roosevelt,Washington. Those
portions of the site that support the most concentrated vehicular activity are surfaced with
asphalt, cement concrete, or gravel. Phase 1 involves maintenance paving over 75,500 square
feet of existing asphalt. Phase 1 site improvements include paving, storm drainage, and the
installation of pretreatment systems for the Phase 2 and Phase 3 stormwater discharge points. See
the vicinity map in Figure 1. Figure 2 shows the existing topographic site conditions with phase
areas delineated.
1
1
1
1
1
i
i
1
Regional Disposal Company June 11, 2014
1 Everett Transfer Facility Reid iddleton
Stormwater Site Plan - 1 -
1
