Page 9 of 26 <br />Unprocessed or minimally processed offerings like hard-boiled eggs, veggie packs, cheese sticks, <br />and fresh fruit. <br /> High protein snacks such as meat sticks, nut packs, tuna, and low-sugar protein bars. <br /> Healthy, fresh meal options such as whole-grain sandwiches, grain bowls, wraps, and protein <br />packs. <br />2.4 PREFERRED OFFERINGS <br />The following are preferred offerings that would be included in an ideal proposal response and <br />subsequent contract. <br /> Refrigerated items such as sandwiches, yogurts, salads, and soups. <br /> Low sodium and sugar options. <br /> Moderately caffeinated options in the range of 50 to 100 milligrams of caffeine per serving. <br /> Specific dietary preference options include KETO, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. <br /> Limit of saturated fat – 5g and below per serving. <br /> Organic offerings. <br />2.5 PRODUCT EXEMPTIONS <br />The following products are exempt from the sugar, fat, and calorie limits listed above. <br /> Nuts, seeds, or nut products that contain no added sugar or sweeteners. <br /> Fresh, canned, or dried fruit with no added sugar or sweeteners. <br /> Yogurt, non-fat, 1% or 2%, with no added sugar or sweeteners. <br />2.6 PRODUCT EXCLUSIONS <br />The following products must never be offered: <br /> High-caffeinated drinks that exceed 275 milligrams of caffeine per serving. <br /> Tobacco products. <br />2.7 PAYMENT OPTIONS AND EQUIPMENT <br />The City prefers that all beverage vending machines have a functioning dollar bill operator. Machines that <br />are in service but do not have functioning dollar bill operators must be repaired or replaced. <br />An ideal vending response would include machines accepting credit cards and cash, including dollar bills <br />and coins. <br />Suppliers must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) if credit and <br />debit payment cards are accepted as a form of payment. As the Supplier has access to and will collect, <br />access, use, store, process, dispose of, or disclose credit, debit, or other payment cardholder information, <br />the Supplier must at all times remain in compliance with the PCI DSS requirements, including remaining <br />aware at all times of changes to the PCI DSS and promptly implementing all procedures and practices as <br />may be necessary to remain in compliance with the PCI DSS, in each case, at the Supplier’s sole cost and <br />expense.
