Basin B
Before it is collected along SR-527, the runoff for Basin B occurs as overland
sheet flow. The site runoff flows southerly and is collected by a trash rack at
the southeast corner of the project site. The water then travels easterly to a
catch basin (charging was observed at this catch basin). Once the water enters
the catch basin it is passed into a conveyance system in Bothell-Everett
Highway's runoff. The charging at the connecting catch basin has been
discussed with the City of Everett, who has stated that this project will not
need to fix the problem. The runoff is then discharged into Silver Lake.
The City of Everett isn't requiring this project to address the surcharging
problem because the source the problem is high water levels in the lake, and
not a lack of capacity in the pipe system receiving flows from the site. In
addition, because the project is assuming forested predeveloped conditions,
the project will be decreasing the existing flow rates to the downstream storm
drainage system.
See Figure 4, Downstream Analysis Map, located in Appendix 3-A, for a detailed
map of the downstream flow paths.
July 2014 3-2 LDC Job No. 13-144
