3.0 OFFSITE ANALYSIS
On Thursday, August 8, 2013 Upstream and Downstream Analyses were
performed at the site. The weather was sunny with no clouds and
approximately 77°F. The ground was dry due to lack of rain for the previous
days. The following observations were verified during this visit.
Upstream Analysis
From the site observation, Snohomish County LiDAR and aerial photography,
the upstream area lies north of the project. Runoff from this upstream area is
intercepted by the storm drainage system located in 100th ST SE. Therefore, no
off-site area is contributing runoff to the property.
Downstream Analysis
There are currently two drainage basins on the site. Basin A drains easterly
towards the existing stream adjacent to the property line and Basin B drains
southeasterly towards Bothell-Everett Highway (SR-527). This stream is a
tributary of Silver Lake and flows southerly towards SR-527. See Figure 4,
Downstream Analysis Map, for a detailed map of the downstream flow paths.
Basin A
Site runoff toward the existing stream located easterly of the project site is
overland sheet flow. Once the water reaches the stream it flows southerly and
enters a culvert on the southeasterly side of the project. From here the water
then travels southerly towards an existing catch basin (charging was observed
at this catch basin). At this catch basin the water joins the runoff from Basin B
of the project site and carries the water southerly towards the conveyance
system in Bothell-Everett Highway's runoff. The runoff is discharged into Silver
Lake.
July 2014 3-1 LDC Job No. 13-144
