6. CONVEYANCE ANALYSIS AND DESIGN <br /> The proposed project generates 0.98 cfs flow in the 100yr/24hr design storm. A <br /> 12-in pipe can convey 3 cfs @ 0.5% slope. The minimum pipe size for this proposed <br /> project is 12-in and therefore there should easily meet the requirement for conveyance. <br /> The proposed vault will store water that is currently flowing in an unrestrained <br /> manner and will meter a restricted flow into the downstream channel at smaller flow <br /> rates,which theoretically existed in the pre-historical condition of dense woodland. <br /> Therefore, no adverse effects are expected in the downstream channel. <br />
