I
' May 28, 2007
Proposed Office Building
' L&A Job No. 7A053
Page 2
Idown northward across the site. The office building, to be located at the northeast corner of the
site with a footprint of about 72 feet by 84 feet, will be a three-story, above-grade structure,
' supported on perimeter concrete walls and interior bearing walls and columns. The remaining
area of the site will be a paved parking lot with planting strips, with an underground stormwater
detention vault to be located at . The office and parking will be accessed by an entrance off
Bothell-Everett Highway near the southeast corner of the site and a fire department entrance off
the cul-de-sac of 127th Place SE at the northwest corner of the site. We understand that grading
for the parking lot will generally follow the existing contours with minimal.cut and fill.
I
SCOPE OF SERVICES
To achieve the above purposes, our scope of services for this study y comprises
p ses specifically the
following:
1 Review the geologic and soil conditions at the site based on a published geologic map.
2. Explore the site for subsurface conditions with backhoe test pits to a firm bearing soil
stratum or to the maximum depth (about 12 feet) capable of by the backhoe used in
excavating the test pits, whichever occurs first.
3. Perform necessary geotechnical analyses and provide geotechnical recommendations for
grading, erosion mitigation, surface and ground water drainage control, foundation design
and construction, etc., based on subsurface conditions encountered in the test pits and
results of our geotechnical analyses.
4. Prepare a written report to present our findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
SITE CONDITIONS
SURFACE CONDITIONS
The site is an irregularly-shaped tract of land, bounded by Bothell-Everett Highway to the east
and adjoined by a commercial development to the south and single-family residences to the north
LIU & ASSOCIATES, INC.
p
