CITY OF EVERETT
EVERETT Public Works Department
WASHINGTON
Owner: Daniel Lytton
Job Address: 2102 Grand Avenue Everett WA 98201
Plan Check No: CW1412-006
RE: Building Permit Review Letter
Dear Daniel Lytton,
Your application for a revision has been received and the original permit number has been reopened.
However, the submitted documents are not sufficiently developed for us to perform a comprehensive
review at this time.The Planning Department has also determined that additional information is required;
they will issue a comment letter separately.
Revised construction-level documents should be submitted for review. Two complete sets of the revised
drawings should be submitted to replace the previously submitted drawing sets.
Abatement of the remaining Active work-without-permit complaints, namely, W2104-041 and W1304-
002 along with final inspections for the new work proposed will be required to obtain a Certificate of
Occupancy for the home. The building is currently not considered occupiable.
NON-STRUCTURAL
1. [permit expiration] It appears that the permit number CW1412-006 had expired and notice of the
expiration was sent(see sections R105.5 and R106.3).The following should occur to progress the
permit to final:
a. Preliminary inspection to determine updated scope.
b. New plans showing the new scope items for the revision after issuance applied for on
8/13/2024.The content of the new plan set is to be compliant with the provisions of the
2021 IBC and 2021 IRC.
2. [drawing clarity/content] Construction-level drawings prepared using established drafting
standards are required to substantiate compliance with the IRC. The drawings should include
site/building plans, building sections, details, material specifications, design loads, architectural
and structural notes, etc. as needed to clearly show the proposed work. The current editions of
the building codes applicable to the project should be specified. See IRC Section R106.1.1.
a. [site plan] please provide an updated site plan with the proposed work clearly shown
containing the listed items from the attached checklist.
b. [engineered design criteria] The project utilizes the alternative provisions of IRC Section
R301.1.3. Site based design criteria should be provided in the general structural notes
and should include the listed items in IBC Section 1603.1.
3200 Cedar Street 425.257.8810 ® bmonk@everettwa.gov
Everett,WA 98201 8am-12pm, 1pm-3pm everettwa.gov/permits
