Snohomish County South Whidbey Basin Watersheds P2 <br />Contract # 24-26673 <br />Attachment C: Statement of Work Page 3 of 14 <br />restoring traditional resources and culturally important areas that have provided for people <br />living here since time immemorial. <br />These projects are critical for Chinook recovery and will have broad cross-sector benefits for <br />tribal, commercial, and recreational fisheries, underserved tribal communities and treaty <br />rights, multi-species salmon recovery, endangered Southern Resident Killer Whale recovery, <br />and community priorities like climate resiliency, sustainable transportation, flood protection, <br />agricultural and economic vitality, recreation, and tourism. <br />3b. Key Resources <br />The South Whidbey Basin Partnership have framed our work around key salmon recovery <br />actions outlined in the Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Plan (2007) focusing on actions that <br />will improve habitat quantity and quality in the estuaries and mainstem freshwater rivers and <br />floodplains. <br />The following resources have been instrumental to the development of this work: <br />Stillaguamish Watershed Chinook Salmon Recovery Plan (2005) <br />Snohomish River Basin Salmon Conservation Plan (2005) <br />Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Plan (2007) <br />The Resilient Lands and Waters Initiative (2016) <br />National Fish, Wildlife, & Plants Climate Adaptation Strategy (2021) <br />Chinook Salmon Use of Tidal Delta Habitats: Synthesis for Snohomish Recovery Plan <br />Revision (2022) <br />Snohomish and Stillaguamish Rivers Flood Hazard and Climate Change Vulnerability <br />Assessment (2023) <br />Snohomish Agricultural Resilience Project <br />Snohomish Basin Salmon Recovery Forum <br />Snohomish County Sustainable Lands Strategy <br />Puget Sound Partnership: 2022-2026 Action Agenda <br />3c. Summary of Project <br />Funds under this Grant Agreement in the amount of $326,124 will be allocated to Snohomish <br />County to implement the Communication, Education, Outreach, and Engagement project, <br />Riparian Health and Reforestation project, and the Snohomish Basin Salmon Plan Update <br />project. <br />Funds under this Grant Agreement in the amount of $500,000 will be allocated by Snohomish <br />County to the City of Everett, as a sub awardee under Snohomish County, to implement the <br />Chinook Marsh Water Transmission Line #5 project. Snohomish County will perform grant <br />administration and billing management for the project through a sub-award agreement with <br />the City of Everett and the City of Everett will manage the project. <br />The total funding allocation for this project under this Grant Agreement will not exceed <br />$826,124 (inclusive of any approved pre- award costs) unless written approval is provided <br />by Snohomish County and WDFW.
