The drawing of the wall is for reference and is in all our drawings to show what is
There and what the hood will be sitting against.
2. 2A.The make up air unit weighs 240LB The curb it sits on weighs 25LBS
2B. There is nothing over 400LBS to be sitting on roof, the Hood weighs 300LB
3. The hood does comply, it is a UL710 Hood, and this requirement is a field
Upon install. As per code it is 18" per side or a 3" air gap if sitting next to a wall.
4. The Exhaust ductwork will be wrapped as shown on the drawings sheet H-12
Listed Fire wrap zero clearance from top of hood to inside of curb. To be installed
After light test.
5. The horizontal load is transferred to back of wall as we hang all 4 corners and pin
the back of hood that demonstrates left to right and front to back stabilization.
6. The Electrical is not in our scope however as in all installations we put hinges on all
Exhaust fans and per electrical code yes a whip is used.
Thank you Drew I hope this helps clarify all the codes and information that you
need.
Thank you,Terry
PO BOX 3602 FEDERAL WAY WASHINGTON 98063 206-856-3163
