Ill! - <br /> 14. <br /> may be tested oftener than at said three yearly period upon the request of <br /> the consumer and shall be tested in his prescence in. the shops of the water <br /> Lepartment , and a report thereon be duly made. both parties to the test <br /> must accept the findings so made . If the test discloses an error against the <br /> o'onsumer of more than three per cent . in the meter' s register the excess <br /> in the consumption in the treee previous readings shall be credited to the <br /> consumer' s meter account and the water Lepartment will bear the entire ex- <br /> pense of the test , and the deposit required . as hereinafter prescribed shall <br /> be returned. but when no such error is found the person who has requested <br /> the test shall pay the charge for making such test . before making a test of <br /> any meter the person requesting such test shall at the time of filing his <br /> request with the Lepartment make a deposit with the Uity "Treasurer of the <br /> amo'.nt charged for such test , subject to the conditions herein stated, which <br /> charges are filed as follows : k"or testing one-half inch meters to three-quartet <br /> inch meters, inclusive, one dollar; for testing one inch meters to one and <br /> one -half inch meters, inclusive, one dollar and fifty cents ; for teoting two <br /> inch meters to three inch meters , inclusive , two dollars ; for testing meters <br /> above three inches the actual cost of making such test as estimated by the <br /> water Lepartment . <br /> Bo meter shall be removed or in any way disturbed or the seal brok- <br /> en,except in the presence of the proper authorities. . <br /> upon any person applying for the installation of a water meter <br /> such applicant shall pay to the City 'Treasurer the sum of the actual. cost of <br /> labor and material furnished in making the installation, said payment to be <br /> made at the time and in the manner prescribed in Section 9 . The applicant may <br /> also be required to make a deposit in cash with the City 'Treasurer, and the <br /> money so deposited shall be applied upon accounts due after the same have be- <br /> come delinquent . <br /> 6eo. 43 : CITY CONRE:CTS.- All connections from the street main <br /> to the curb of the sidewalk, including stop cocks and valves, will be made <br /> by the city at the prices stated in Section •12 . <br /> Sec. 44 : POLLUTION FORBIDDEN : It shall be unlawful for any person <br /> to throw, place or deposit any dirt , filth, garbage or refuse in any drinking <br /> fountain., watering trough or vessel used in connection therewith, or in any <br /> manner pollute or contaminate the water in such fountains, trough or vessel <br /> or permit nay animal to drink out of the vessels kept at such drinking founta: <br />
