41 6 , <br /> tinue the use of water for any purpose, whether for closets, bath tube, <br /> hose connections or other fixtures, the faucet must be removed from <br /> the branch pipe or service supplying the fixtures plugged, and notice <br /> given in writing at the office of the Water Department before any re- <br /> duction will be made in rate. <br /> in case of closets and bath tubs it will be necessary to dis- <br /> connect the waste pipes and give written notice as above stated. <br /> section 24 : No reduction of charges will be made on premises <br /> a part of which may become vancant until written notice of such vacancy <br /> shall be served on the water Department and then a reduction will be <br /> allowed only from the date of the service of such notice. There shall <br /> be no reduction whatever for vacant rooms in houses which are rated for <br /> one family only. <br /> section 25 : BONDS . The cashier of the said Water Department <br /> shall furnish a bona conditioned as the bonds of other officers and <br /> employees of the city of J verett , in the sum of twenty-five hundred <br /> dollars and the assistant chaster shall furnish a bond in the sum of <br /> one thousand dollars • <br /> section 26 : The water may at any time be shut off from the <br /> mains without notice, for repairs extensions or other necessary pruposes <br /> and persons having boilers supplied by direct pressure from the mains <br /> are cuationed against danger of explosion or collapse and where meters <br /> are in use or to be used on such service a safety valve shall be plac- <br /> ed between the boiler and the meter at the owner ' s expense who shall be <br /> held responsible to the city for all damages to meters cause by hot <br /> water. The city shall not be responsible for the safety of boilers on <br /> the premises of any water consumer. <br /> whenever the building inspector shall report in writing to <br /> the Commissioner of Public Works that any building has been condemned <br /> by him as a structure not havitable and dangerous to human live and <br /> whenever the Health Officer shall report in like manner to said Comm- <br /> issioner that any building has been condemned by him as unsanitary <br /> and not fit for human habitation, said Commissioner shall at once shut <br /> off water from said building and not permit it to be turned on again <br /> until the building has been made safe or sanitary, as the case may be, <br /> which condition must be reported to the Commissioner by the building <br /> inspector or health Officer as soon as it exists . <br />
