Any person making connections to or <br /> alterations in any pipe whereby water may be drawn from the Uity mains, <br /> or tkaing from any fire hydrant ,bibb,pipe or fixture of any kind with- <br /> out first having secured a permit for the same from the water Depart- <br /> ment shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction there. <br /> of shall be fined not less than ten dollars 410 .00) dollars nor more <br /> than one hundred t4l00.00) collars or imprisoned for a term of 10 to <br /> 30 days . All such fines shall revert to the water fund. <br /> section 20 : ON AND OFF ORDER Should it be desired to have the <br /> Water turned on after it has been shut off, or where new services <br /> have been put in and plumbing is completes, a written order by the <br /> owner or his authorized agent must be given to the Water Lepartment <br /> after which the water will be turned on, providing there are not <br /> defective or leaky faucets , closets or fixtures, and when such may be <br /> discovered the water will be shut off. <br /> section 21 : PENALTY. should the water be turned on to the <br /> premises by any one except an employee of the water Department after it <br /> has been turned off at the main and it will not be turned on again <br /> until the regular charges , as prescribed in section nineteentl9 ) <br /> have been paid. <br /> section 22 : SUSPENSION OF USE. Should it be desired to dis- <br /> continue the use of water supplied to vacant premises for a period of <br /> not less than thirty days, notice in writing must be given to the <br /> water Department ; the water will then be shut off and turned on again_ <br /> on written application without extra charges, but no remission of <br /> charges will be made without the notice prescribed in this section. <br /> section 23 :DISCON'1'INUANUE.
