To view this list, go to www.bia.gov/programs/iaq/16jagallocations.html. For <br /> JAG Program purposes, a unit of local government is a town, township, village, parish, city, <br /> county, borough, or other general purpose political subdivision of a state; or, it may also be a <br /> federally recognized Indian tribal government that perform law enforcement functions (as <br /> determined by the Secretary of the Interior). Otherwise a unit of local government may be any <br /> law enforcement district or judicial enforcement district established under applicable state law <br /> with authority to independently establish a budget and impose taxes. In Louisiana, a unit of local <br /> government means a district attorney or parish sheriff. <br /> Deadline <br /> Applicants must register in the OJP Grants Management System (GMS) prior to submitting an <br /> application for this funding opportunity. Registration is required for all applicants, even those <br /> previously registered in GMS. Select the"Apply Online" button associated with the solicitation <br /> title.
