insuL msll
ArZrmrmr;= INSULATION SYSTEMS
FLAT AND TAPERED RIGID INSULATION
Description PREDICTABLY CONSISTENT VALUE.
InsulFoam II is an engineered insulation consisting of a superior
closed-cell, lightweight and resilient expanded polystyrene(EPS).
InsulFoam II meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C578,
Type ll, Standard Specification for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene
Thermal Insulation. InsulFoam II has a nominal density of 1.5 IN
ft3. In addition, InsulFoam II offers a long-term, stable R-value
and has excellent dimensional stability, compressive strength and
water resistance properties.
Uses
InsulFoam II is a high-performance roof insulation and is used in
numerous roofing applications.
Roof Systems: InsulFoam II is well-suited for single-ply roof Sizes
applications that employ mechanically fastened or ballasted TPO, InsulFoam II is available in 4' x 4' and 4' x 8' standard sizes with
PVC and EPDM, as well as low-sloped built-up, modified bitumen thickness from 1/4" to 40", and is readily available in custom
and fully adhered single-ply roofs that incorporate cover boards lengths and widths with little to no impact on lead time. It is also
or slip sheets. Please consult local building codes and membrane available in tapered panels, with thickness from 0 ('/s" actual)to
manufacturers for system requirements. 40",and any slope per foot.
System Compatibility: Insulfoam insulations are compatible with Typical Physical Properties
both light- and dark-colored single-ply membranes, can be
applied directly to metal decks, are available in higher compressive Property
strengths, and can be manufactured with fire-rated facers and Density(nom.pcf) ASTM C303 1.50
coverboards. Please contact Insulfoam for more details. C-value(conductance)-per inch
BTU/(hr•ftz•°F) ASTM C518
Advantages c 25°F or 0.210
■ Environmentally Friendly. It does not contain any blowing c 40°F ASTM C177 0.220
agents, may contain recycled material,and is 100%recyclable @ 75°F 0.240
if ever removed or replaced. R-value(Resistance)-per inch
■ Stable R-value. The product's thermal properties will remain (hr•ft2•°F)/BTU ASTM C518
stable over its entire service life. There is no thermal drift, @ 25°F or 4.
40°F ASTM C177 4.5555
so the product is eligible for an Insulfoam 20-year thermal 0 75°F 4.17
performance warranty. compressive strength
■ Proven Performance. EPS has been manufactured using (psi,10%deformation) ASTM D1621 15-21
the same chemistry since the mid-1950s, providing proven Flexural Strength(min.psi) ASTM C203 35
performance.
■ Water Resistance. InsulFoam II does not readily absorb Dimensional Stability ASTM D2126 2.0
moisture from the environment. (maximum%)
■ Code Approvals. Insulfoam insulations are recognized by the Water Vapor Permeance ASTM E96 3.5
International Code Council Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), and (max.perm.,1 inch)
have numerous Underwriters Laboratory and Factory Mutual water Absorption(max.%vol.) ASTMC272 3.0
Approvals. Please contact your local Insulfoam representative Capillarity — none
for details.for details.
