• F <br /> 10 Et <br /> ORDINANCE NO„ 1 /2 <br /> An ordinance relating to noxious: reeds, and their <br /> removal from streets, public places and premises in Everett, the <br /> cleaning and placing in sanitary condition of premises within <br /> said city, providing for assessing the cost thereof upon the said <br /> premises, prescribing a punishment for the violation of the terms <br /> thereof, and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN <br /> Section 1: it shall be unlawful for any owner or occupant <br /> of any occupied premises, or any owner or agent having charge of <br /> any unoccupied premises within the corporate limits of Everett, to <br /> suffer or allow any glass, metal, broken ware, rub." ish, trash, dirt, <br /> garbage, or any other substance or thing likely to make such places <br /> unclean or unsanitary, to be thrown or deposited or remain upon the <br /> said premises, or on the street to the center line thereof in <br /> front, or at the side of said premises, or on the alley to the <br /> center line thereof at the side of or behind any premises so owned <br /> cr occupied by him, or of which he shall have charge as agent. <br /> Section 2 It shall be unlawful for any owner or occupant <br /> of anyoccupied premises, or any owner or agent having charge of <br /> any unoccupied premises within the corporate limits of 7verett, <br /> to suffer or allow any thistle or other noxious weed, as defined <br /> by law, to grow or to blossom upon, or to the center of the street <br /> in front or at the side of, or t,o the center of the alley at the <br /> side of or behind any premises so owned or occupied by him, oz of <br /> which he shall have charge as agent. <br /> Section 3: It shall be the duty of the chief of police <br /> of the city of Everett to publish annually in the month of nay in <br /> the official newspaper of said city a notice requiring all thistles <br /> within the limits of said city to be dug up, cut down, or otherwise <br /> destroyed. <br />
