September 3, 2025 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin left the meeting at 7:11 p.m. <br /> <br />SETTLEMENT – PHARMACEUTICAL OPIOID CASES <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to authorize the Mayor <br />to execute a participation agreement in the nationwide settlement of Purdue Pharma <br />proceeding involving the opiate litigation, resulting in payments of approximately 1 million to <br />the City over 10-year period. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except President Schwab who was excused. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />SETTLEMENTS – PHARMACEUTICAL OPIOID CASES <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to authorize the <br />Mayor to execute a participation agreement with secondary manufacturers Alvogen, Amneal, <br />Apotex, Hikma, Indivio, Mylan, Sun and Zydus, totaling $125,000 with scheduled payments. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except President Schwab who was excused. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The City Council meeting adjourned at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Read and approved. <br /> <br /> <br />________________________________ <br /> Council President
