Work points have been indicated, but <br /> there does not appear to be a schedule or method to determine if the gusset plate weld <br /> length to columns and beam members are corresponding to the provided design lengths <br /> in the permit design calculations. Please indicate where such dimensions can be found on <br /> the plans. IBC 107.2.1. <br /> Response: <br /> The parameters given in the brace frame connection details constrain the design of the <br /> gusset plate such that gusset plate edge length (also the weld length) must match the <br /> design length in the permit design calculations. We have had good success with this <br /> method on many similar projects.The gusset plate and weld geometry are also checked <br /> in the steel submittal. <br /> Correction #8. <br /> On 1/S3.03, the base plate schedule appears to be missing information regarding base <br /> plate thicknesses. Please clarify if gravity column base plates are to all be 1" thick or if the <br /> base plate thickness schedule requires additional information to be used for the sizes <br /> indicated on the plans. IBC 107.2.1. <br /> Response: <br /> The base plate schedule has been updated to reflect gravity column sizes in project. <br /> Correction #9. <br /> On sheet Al.1 1, a trash enclosure is proposed to be constructed of concrete walls with <br /> masonry veneer. Please provide structural details for the enclosure as this appears to be <br /> missing from structural plans and current architectural plans do not have construction <br /> details for such construction. IBC 107.2.1. <br /> Response: <br /> Structural detail 5/S3.03 have been added for the trash enclosure. <br />
