The LRC consists of a three-story <br /> 70,000 square-foot building academic building. The LRC building was constructed at or near surrounding <br /> grades and is supported on shallow foundations. The project included new underground utilities, <br /> landscaping, sidewalks and surface parking. <br /> OBSERVATIONS <br /> GeoEngineers visited the site on an intermittent basis on 94 occasions to monitor foundation and pavement <br /> subgrade conditions, placement and compaction of structural fill, and foundation drainage conditions. <br /> Reports of our construction observation services are presented in our daily field reports for the project <br /> (GT-001 through GT-094)from September 15, 2021 to October 5, 2022. Copies of these field reports were <br /> provided to EvCC, Department of Enterprise Services, Mithun, Mortenson, Reid Middleton and Northwest <br /> Construction during construction. <br /> Foundation Subgrade Evaluation <br /> We evaluated foundation subgrade soils for the shallow foundations. Foundations are typically founded on <br /> dense native sand and gravel soils. Where present, existing fill was removed below foundations and <br /> replaced with approved structural. Structural fill placed below foundations generally consisted of 11/4-inch <br /> minus crushed gravel compacted to 95 percent of the maximum dry density. Based on our observations, it <br />
