SNO-ISLE TECH 2O23 SMALL WORKS <br />McGRANAHAN ARCHITECTS <br />Section 0150 00, Page 2 <br />TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br />3. Temporary Power: <br />a. Temporary electrical power may be obtained from the existing facility if available. Power <br />consumption shall not disrupt Owner's need for continuous service. Owner shall pay cost of energy <br />used from existing facility. Exercise measures to conserve energy. <br />1) Provide all temporary power, including pole and poles, transformer if required, or voltage and <br />phasing as required for the work. Provide wiring for all required extension cords, lighting <br />outlets, and power outlets (grounding type), and other required equipment and accessories <br />necessary for construction and site improvement purposes. Remove power and their <br />connections at completion of the work or sooner if approved or directed. <br />b. Maintain building security during and after use of existing power service. <br />B. Provide means, methods, material, and labor necessary to provide clean, potable water as required. Make <br />temporary connections to closest existing utility piping and provide meter, piping, hoses, nozzles, and other <br />accessories as required. At completion, or before if directed, disconnect temporary connections and piping, and <br />remove from site. <br />1. Temporary Water: <br />a. Temporary water may be obtained from the existing facility. Owner will pay cost of water uses. <br />Contractor to exercise measures to conserve water. <br />1) Coordinate with Owner locations of connections and routing of service lines. Service lines shall <br />not restrict use or cause health and safety issues or problems. <br />C. New permanent facilities may be used as follows: <br />1. The new building heating systems may be utilized as early as possible for temporary heat, following <br />checkout and testing of the equipment and with the consent of the Architect or owner. <br />2. Provide inlet air filters on new building fan equipment and return duct openings used for the temporary <br />system. <br />a. Clean the equipment and replace the filters periodically as required or as directed by the Architect, <br />mechanical engineer, or commissioning agent. Filters shall not be used for more than 30 calendar <br />days. <br />b. Clean the equipment and replace the filters before heating systems and the project are put into regular <br />operation (substantial completion of area). <br />3. Use of new building heating system by Contractor prior to substantial completion shall be allowed only to <br />the extent that such use does not reduce, limit or otherwise adversely effect required system warranty or <br />guarantee periods. <br />1.03 TELEPHONE SERVICE <br />A. Contractor cell phone devices/service is acceptable for this project. <br />1.04 INTERNET AND E-MAIL SERVICE <br />A. Provide, maintain, and pay for internet and e-mail service to field office computer at time of project <br />mobilization. <br />mcg-ARC 2120.000 February 28, 2023 <br />
