SNO-ISLE TECH 2O23 SMALL WORKS <br />McGRANAHAN ARCHITECTS <br />Section 0150 00, Page 5 <br />TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br />B. Cleaning -Up: <br />1. During the work: Contractor and each subcontractor at all times shall keep the premises free from <br />accumulation of waste materials or rubbish caused by his operations on a daily basis. Just before <br />completion of the work, Contractor and each subcontractor shall remove all his tools, construction <br />equipment, machinery and surplus materials. If Contractor fails to enforce clean-up procedures, the <br />Owner may do the clean-up and the cost thereof shall be charged to the Contractor as provided in the <br />General Conditions. <br />C. Temporary Shoring, Bracing & Sheeting: <br />1. Provide as required for work in the various Technical Sections. <br />D. Dust Control: <br />1. Provide positive methods and apply dust control materials to minimize raising dust from dispersing into <br />the atmosphere. <br />E. Debris Control: <br />1. Maintain all areas under Contractor's control free of extraneous debris. <br />2. Areas will be,designated by the Contractor for parking of trucks to receive demolition debris. Coordinate <br />with Owner at time of scheduling. <br />3. Initiate and maintain a specific program to prevent accumulation of debris at construction site, storage, and <br />parking areas, or along access roads and haul routes. <br />a. Provide containers for deposit of debris. <br />b. Prohibit overloading of trucks to prevent spillage on access and haul routes. <br />1) Provide periodic inspection of traffic areas to enforce requirements. <br />4. Schedule periodic inspection and disposal of debris. <br />a. Provide additional collections and disposal of debris whenever the periodic schedule is inadequate to <br />prevent accumulation. <br />F. Pollution Control: <br />1. Provide methods, means and facilities required to prevent contamination of soil, water, or <br />atmosphere. Allow no discharge of noxious substances from construction operations. <br />2. Provide equipment and personnel to perform emergency measures required to contain spillage. <br />a. Remove contaminated soils or liquids. <br />1) Excavate and dispose of any contaminated earth off -site. Replace with suitable compacted fill <br />and topsoil. <br />3. Take special measures to prevent harmful substances from entering public waters. <br />a. Prevent disposal of wastes, effluents, chemicals, or other such substances adjacent to bodies of water, <br />or in sanitary or storm sewers. <br />4. Provide systems for control of atmospheric pollutants. <br />a. Prevent toxic concentrations of chemicals. <br />b.
