0 ORDINANCE N0.1680 An ordinance authorizing and directing the city council of the city of Everett to procure the necessary data and inform- ation concerning the practicability of the development and con- struction by said city of a plant for generating electric current by water power in the Sultan River, and transmitting the same to the city of Everett for the purpose of furnishing said city and its inhabitants with light , heat, power and fuel , and to prepare plans for constructing such a system, if found practicable, and to submit said plan or system to the voters of said city ; and to authorize said council to make the proper and necessary appropria- tion for securing such data and information, and to prepare plans for constructing an electric system for said city, and to submit said plans to the voters of said city, and authorizing said coun- cil to make the necessary and proper appropriation for securing said data and information. THE CITY Or EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That the city council of the city of Everett be, and it is hereby authorized and directed to secure as soon as, possible, all necessary data and information concerning the prac- ticability of developing and constructing a plant for generating electric current by water power in the Sultan River, and trans- mitting the same to the city of Everett for the purpose of furnish- ing said city and its inhabitants with light, heat, power and fuel, and it is hereby authorized to make the proper and necessary approp- riation to pay the cost of securing such data and information. Section 2: When the city council secures such data and information, it is hereby authorized and directed to prepare plans
