WPCF Headworks Replacement Project Scope of Work <br />42 <br /> <br />condition assessment is deemed necessary prior to the next phase of design, the work will <br /> This scope of <br />work does not include hydraulic modeling of the conveyance system to assess capacity. <br />City Responsibilities <br /> Provide input through written correspondence, in person meetings, and other means of <br />communication ahead of workshops when requested. <br /> Attend alternatives analysis workshops. <br /> Review and provide comments during workshops and on workshop notes. <br />Meetings <br /> Workshops covered under Task 403 <br />Work Products <br /> Contributory design concepts, data tables, sketches, cost comparisons, vendor quotes, <br />calculations, and other information that may be excerpted for pre- (slides) and post- (notes) <br />workshop materials. <br />Deliverables <br />None (workshop materials provided with Task 403) <br />Task 410 Alternatives Analysis Report <br />Objective: Prepare Alternatives Analysis Report summarizing and documenting outcomes of the <br />analysis, alternative selections, and recommendations developed under Tasks 402 and 405. <br />Activities/Approach: Activities under this task include writing and compiling the Alternatives Analysis <br />Report. The report will document all the outcomes of the analysis, alternative selections, and <br />recommendations developed under Tasks 402 and 405. <br /> Compile and summarize the findings from the alternative evaluations conducted under <br />Tasks 402 and 405. Facility planning content from Task 405 will be excluded from the main <br />body of the Alternatives Analysis Report and instead documented in the BODR. Development <br />of the Alternatives Analysis Report will include documenting the range of alternatives <br />considered for each major component of the headworks facility, including process <br />configuration, equipment selection, and site layout. <br /> Provide a clear summary of evaluation criteria, including cost, constructability, and <br />operational impacts. <br /> Prepare sketches of the selected alternatives as needed to support documentation and <br />inform the subsequent BODR. <br /> Summarize the preliminary component cost estimates and life cycle considerations that <br />were developed under Task 405. <br /> Clearly identify the recommended alternative(s) and provide justification based on technical, <br />operational, and strategic factors. <br /> Incorporate workshop notes and slides from the facility planning topics as an Appendix to <br />the Alternatives Analysis Report.
