WPCF Headworks Replacement Project Scope of Work <br />49 <br /> <br />Task 501 Preliminary Design <br />Activities/Approach: <br /> Develop preliminary design documents for the site preparation package. The documents will <br />incorporate the recommendations, decisions, and design criteria established during the <br />alternatives analysis and basis of design (predesign) phases. Preliminary design will include <br />the general arrangement of the improvements; development of the overall process <br />configuration from schematic to spatial arrangements and include a completion of all major <br />Process, Civil, Structural and Process Mechanical models of all major process areas. <br /> Develop design models and drawings conforming to the project specific CAD standards and <br />BXP developed under Phase 200 Task 220. <br /> Incorporate any relevant GC/CM BODR review comments into the site preparation package <br />design. <br /> Prepare a Design Memorandum that describes any changes to the design assumptions and <br />criteria that were documented in the BODR, description of resolved and outstanding issues, <br />and a discussion of any further field work or investigations that may be required to advance <br />to final design. <br />Task Assumptions <br /> The scope of work assumes that the development of the site preparation package will <br />commence following completion of the Basis of Design Report and be developed in parallel <br />with preliminary and intermediate design of the headworks facility. <br /> Cost estimates for the site preparation package are prepared under Phase 350. <br /> Technical specifications will be prepared in Division 50 CSI master format using BC <br />standards. <br /> The site preparation package will use City provided Division 00 and 01 specifications. <br /> The site preparation package phase will not include an intermediate design task. <br /> Bypass modification process mechanical valving will be represented on the civil drawings. <br />Meetings <br /> Site Preparation Package Workshop Preliminary Design Review <br />Work Products <br /> Workshop notes and slides <br />Deliverables <br /> Preliminary (30%) design drawings and specifications <br /> Design memorandums <br />Task 502 Final Design <br />Activities/Approach: <br /> Advance the site preparation package preliminary design drawings and specifications to final <br />design, representing completion of the construction documents. <br /> Address City and GC/CM preliminary design review comments and integrate changes into <br />the design. <br /> Develop design models and drawings conforming to the project specific CAD standards and <br />BXP developed under Phase 200 Task 220.
