October 29, 2025 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli expressed indignation at the end of SNAP benefits. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy reported on her attendance at the Council of Neighborhoods meeting <br />and requested an update from Administration on Wiggums Hollow Park closure and repair. <br /> <br />Vice President Zarlingo reported on his attendance at the Financial Audit Review for the City, <br />congratulated the Finance department for receiving the “Certificate of Achievement for <br />Excellence in Financial Reporting”, praised the Police department for reducing vacancy rates and <br />thanked Public Works staff for their work on an agreement with Lake Stevens on water pipelines. <br />He also reported on his attendance at the Snohomish County Tomorrow committee meeting, and <br />his attendance at a briefing with WorkSource Snohomish County. <br /> <br />President Schwab had questions regarding Consent Item No. 6, the agreement with Volunteers <br />with America. <br /> <br />Julie Willie, Community Development, answered Council questions. <br /> <br />President Schwab reported his attendance on the Association of Washington Cities Legislative <br />Advisory Committee and encouraged the community to donate to food banks. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Senior Executive Director Dan Templemen did not have any report. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall did not have any report. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Rhyne, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 8229 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$2,790,468.63 for the period of October 11, 2025, through October 17, 2025. <br />
