November 7th, 2025
To Everett City Council Members,
On behalf of the Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Everett Downtown, I am writing in support of the
Downtown Improvement District (DID) renewal.
The DID has provided an invaluable service to keep our downtown clean, safe, and inviting for
nearly 30 years. As a business owner, I find great value in the services. Cleaning sidewalks,
removing graffiti, and removing trash on a daily basis is not only a business necessity, but also
an essential ingredient for encouraging civic pride and community engagement. Not to mention
the constant dog waste, human waste, and biohazards that we have been experiencing on a
weekly basis. DID services have been keeping our building clean and presentable to our guests,
clients, and employees.
The DID is critical for helping small businesses, property owners, and non-profits survive and
thrive. This program has proven to be a worthwhile community investment and deserves your
continued support for its renewal.
Sincerely,
Quynh Devitte
Quynh Devitte
General Manager
Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Everett Downtown
