ORDINANCE NO. j 5 <br /> An ordinance providing for the submission to the voters <br /> of the city of Everett, at a special election to be held in said <br /> city on the 24th day of August, 1915, a proposed ordinance authoriz- <br /> ing and directing the city council of the city of Everett to <br /> procure the necessary data and information concerning the practicab- <br /> ility of the development and construction by said city of a plant <br /> for generating electric current by water power in the Sultan River, <br /> and transmitting the same to the city of Everett for the purpose of <br /> furnishing said city and its inhabitants with light, heat, power <br /> and fuel, and to prepare plans for constructing such system, if <br /> found practicable, and to submit said plan or system to the voters <br /> of said city, and authorizing said council to make the proper and <br /> necessary appropriation for securing such data and information. <br /> THE CITY OF E'VERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That a proposed ordinance authorizing and <br /> directing the city council of the city of Everett to procure the <br /> necessary data and information concerning the practicability of <br /> the development and construction by said city of a plant for gener- <br /> ating electric current by water power in the Sultan River,and trans- <br /> mitting the same to the city of Everett for the purpose of furnishing <br /> said city and its inhabitants with light, heat, power and fuel, and <br /> to prepare plans for constructing such a system, if found practicable, <br /> and to submit said plan or system to the voters of said city, and <br /> authorizing said council to make the proper and necessary appro- <br /> priation for securing such data and information, shall be submitted <br /> to the voters of the city of Everett at the election to be held on <br /> August 24, 1915. <br /> Section 2; Said proposed ordinance shall be as follows: <br /> "ORDINANCE No. . <br /> An ordinance authorizing and directing the city council <br /> of the city of Everett to procure the necessary data and information <br /> concerning the practicability of the development and construction by <br /> said city of a plant for generating electric current by water power <br /> in the Sultan River, and transmitting the same to the city of Everett <br /> for the purpose of furnishing said city and its inhabitants with <br />
