1. Smoke and heat vents or mechanical smoke removal systems shall be provided, in Group F-1 ors-1 <br /> with more than 50,000 square feet of undivided area.(Exception:S-1 aircraft repair hangers. (IBC <br /> 910.2.1) <br /> Electrical <br /> 1. Emergency power for illumination. In the event of a power failure in building that require two or more <br /> means of egress an emergency electrical system shall automatically illuminate for not less than 90 <br /> minutes in all of the following areas: (IFC 1008.3) <br /> a. Aisles, Corridors, Exit access stairways,ramps,exit passageways,vestibules, areas on the level <br /> of discharge used for exit discharge, and exterior landings used for exit doorways that lead <br /> directly to the exit discharge. (IFC 1008.3.1&1008.3.2) <br /> b. Electrical equipment rooms, Fire command centers, Fire Pump rooms,Generator rooms, and <br /> Public restrooms with an area greater than 300 square feet. (IFC 1008.3.3) <br /> 2. Exit Signs Emergency power shall be provided for exit signs for a duration of not less than 90 minutes. <br /> (IFC 1013.6.3 &604.2.5) <br /> 3. Emergency and standby power systems shall be provide in the fallowing: <br /> a. Elevators and platform lifts, Emergency alarm systems, Emergency responder radio coverage <br /> systems, Emergency voice/alarm communication systems, Exit signs, Group 1-2& l-3 <br /> occupancies, Hazardous materials, High-rise buildings, Horizontal sliding doors, Hydrogen <br /> fuel gas rooms, Means of egress illumination, Membrane structures(auxiliary inflation <br /> systems), Semiconductor fabrication facilities, Smoke control systems, Underground <br /> buildings. (lFC 604.2) <br /> Hazardous Materials <br /> 1. Quantities not exceeding the maximum allowable quantity per control area indicated in Table <br /> 5003.1.1(1)through 5003.1.1(4) shall be in accordance with IFC Section 5001 and 5003. <br /> 2. Quantities exceeding the maximum allowable quantity per control area indicated in Table 5003.1.1(1) <br /> through 5003.1.1(4)shall be in accordance with IFC Chapter 50. <br /> 3. Hazard identification signs specified in NFPA 704 for the specific material contained shall be placed on <br /> stationary containers and above ground tanks and at entrances to locations where hazardous materials <br /> are stored, dispensed, used or handled. <br /> PUD Comments—Jason Zyskowski—425-783-8272 <br /> The District presently has sufficient electrical system capacity to serve the proposed development. However, <br /> the existing District facilities in the local area may require upgrading.Any relocation or removal of District <br /> facilities to accommodate this project shall be at the expense of the project developer. Cost of any work, new <br /> or upgrade,to existing District facilities shall be at the expense of the project developer and shall be in <br /> accordance with the applicable District policy.The developer will be required to supply the District with <br /> suitable locations/easements upon its property for any electrical facilities that must be installed to serve the <br /> proposed development.We recommend contact with the District prior to design of the proposed project.
