City of Everett 00 11 13 - 2 <br />Port Gardner Storage Facility – Facility Construction Package WO# UP-3525 <br /> <br /> <br />00 11 13 - 2 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and <br />Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to <br />www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of <br />Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with <br />the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous <br />reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that <br />Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and <br />to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register <br />will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on- <br />line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of <br />Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration. <br />All bids/proposals must be made upon the City forms provided in the bidding documents <br />and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier’s check in an <br />amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid/proposal, all in <br />accordance with the bidding documents. A one hundred percent (100%) performance <br />bond (and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond, as may be required in the <br />bidding documents), on form(s) provided by the City, will be required of the successful <br />bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. <br />The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or <br />informalities. Except as may be provided in the Contract Documents, no Bidder may <br />withdraw his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. <br />The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest <br />of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of 45 <br />days after bid opening. <br />The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and <br />regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. <br />It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department <br />of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, <br />or shall be, a party to any contract or subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. <br />The City, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 <br />U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will <br />affirmatively ensure that, in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, <br />disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit <br />bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of <br />race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. <br />By order of the City Council, Everett, Washington. <br />END OF SECTION 00 11 13
