City of Everett 01 11 00 - 10
Port Gardner Storage Facility – Facility Construction Package WO# UP-3525

01 11 00 - 10 SUMMARY OF WORK
Category 2: Sensitive information
Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law.
e) In addition to the items listed above, structural design includes
stairways for accessing the pump station structure and
guardrails.
2) Architectural
a) Architectural components of LS46 include standing seam metal
roofing on the open air canopy structure. Roofing for the
structure includes sheet metal gutters and downspouts.
3) Process Mechanical
a) LS46 process mechanical components include pumping
equipment and the associated conveyance piping. Pumping
equipment for the lift station encompasses five submersible
style pumps. Pumps 46-P-0101 through 46-P-0103 are denoted
the direct flow pumps and will convey flow to a common 16-inch
diameter header routed north. Pumps 46-P-02001 and 46-P-
02002, denoted the indirect flow pumps, convey flow to a
common 16-inch diameter header routed south.
b) Installation of each pump includes associated suction and
discharge piping, mechanical couplings, and isolation and check
valves.
c) LS46 is connected to the greater PGSF conveyance lines
through a 24-inch diameter buried pipeline, connected at the
southern end of the wet well. Mechanical work at the lift station
includes connecting this pipe to the lift station wet well and
installing a manually actuated slide gate for wet well isolation.
d) The pump station includes a pedestal mounted pump suction
elbow constructed at the pump station deck. This will serve as a
utility station for mounting pumps during onsite service.
4) Electrical
a) LS46 electrical infrastructure includes power three 160
horsepower and two 45 horsepower vendor supplied pumps.
Each pump will be controlled by an associated variable
frequency drive. LS46 power will be routed from the Area 70
OMES building.
b) Power service to LS46 includes service to the bridge crane and
trolly. This infrastructure includes a local disconnect, hand
station, and junction box.
5) Instrumentation and Controls
a) Installation and integration of the following Area 46
instruments/equipment into the site control system.
1. Radar level
2. Level float switches
3. Pressure
4. Magnetic flow meter
5. Valve/gate actuators
