City of Everett 01 11 00 - 9
Port Gardner Storage Facility – Facility Construction Package WO# UP-3525

01 11 00 - 9 SUMMARY OF WORK
Category 2: Sensitive information
Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law.
4. Construction of supporting infrastructure needed to install
temporary slide gates for stormwater treatment channel
isolation.
5. Installation a permanently affixed vactor tube systems atop
two of the interior walls that may be used for stormwater
treatment system maintenance.
c) Civil
1. Regrading and paving around the stormwater treatment
system.
9. Lift Station 46
a. Work within Area 46 involves construction of a greenfield pump station,
Lift Station 46 (LS46), located in the southeast corner of the site’s
northern parking lot. LS46 will be an approximately 950 square foot
pile supported structure housing two separate sets of submersible
wastewater pumps installed in a common wet well. This pump station
will convey site stormwater, sewer water stored within PGSF, and local
sewer flows from CO 28 offsite to adjacent wastewater conveyance
infrastructure. Area 46 construction activities include structural,
architectural, process mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and
controls, and site civil work.
1) Structural
a) Area 46 structural work encompasses all elements of work
associated with construction of an approximately 28-foot deep,
530 square foot, pile supported wet well. The wet well design
includes an ogee ramp, center channel, and pump mounting
bases integrated into the channel fillets. The southern wall of
the wet well includes a penetration for a 24-inch diameter
pipeline that will convey flows into the lift station.
b) In addition to the wet well, LS46 includes a pile supported valve
vault adjacent to the wet well. This valve vault is designed to be
approximately 10-feet deep and cover a 400 square foot area.
The vault will share its western wall with the wet well and house
various process mechanical equipment including piping and
valves.
c) The pump station wet well and valve vault are to be constructed
with a topping slab that will sit approximately 1.2-feet above
grade. This slab will be constructed with penetrations for access
hatches.
d) The LS46 wet well and valve vault will be covered by an open
air building constructed of tubular steel material. This structure
will support an electrically powered bridge crane for removal
and installation of pumps within the wet well. The crane system
will extend beyond the immediate envelope of the building for
loading/unloading of service vehicles.
