A <br /> r <br /> B. Every person, association, or organization. conducting player-funded banked card <br /> games and house banked card games or house banked card games exclusively: <br /> 1. Beginning December 31, 1999 to December 30, 2000: Five (5)percent of the <br /> gross revenue received from conducting such card games; <br /> 2. Beginning December 31, 2000 to December 30, 2001: Seven and one half(7.5) <br /> percent of the gross revenue received from conducting such card games; and <br /> 3. Beginning December 31, 2001: Ten (10) percent of the gross revenue received <br /> from conducting such card games. <br /> C. Taxpayers shall make such reports to the City of gross revenues from conducting <br /> such card games on forms, at such times as directed and under rules as adopted by the City <br /> Clerk. <br /> Section 2: The changes in tax rates established by Section 1 of this ordinance shall take <br /> effect beginning December 31, 1999. <br /> Section 3: Should any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this <br /> ordinance or its application to any person or situation be declared unconstitutional or invalid <br /> for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this <br /> ordinance or its application to any other person or situation. The City Council of the City of <br /> Everett hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, <br /> subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or <br /> more sections, subsections; sentences, clauses, phrases or portions be declared invalid or <br /> unconstitutional. <br /> Section 4: Nothing contained herein shall be construed as abating any action now pending <br /> under or by virtue of the ordinance herein repealed or as discontinuing, abating, modifying <br /> or altering any tax liability or any tax owing or assessed under or by virtue of the ordinance <br /> herein repealed; or as discontinuing, abating, modifying or altering any penalty accrued or to <br /> accrue; or as affecting the right or liability of any person, firm or corporation, or as waiving <br /> any right of the City under any City ordinance or provision thereof in force at the time of the <br /> effective date of this ordinance. <br /> # éh2 <br /> Edwar�i�.
