CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />Water Main Replacement “Y” – Ph 2 Div B – BID ITEM DESCRIPTIONS <br />Work Order No. UP 3814 SP-23 <br />Category 2: Sensitive information <br />Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law. <br />removal of the temporary erosion and sedimentation control (TESC) facilities to prevent pollution, <br />erosion, siltation, and damage to any wetland, stream, other watercourse, or surrounding property <br />throughout the life of the Contract. TESC facilities shall include, but not be limited to, any cover <br />measures, runoff control measures, soil and site stabilization measures, construction entrance, <br />high visibility fencing or silt fencing as shown on the Plans, and inlet protection measures for the <br />work area and downstream areas. <br />The TESC measures shall limit the erosion possibility by covering disturbed soils, preventing <br />sloughing or raveling of cut and natural slopes, and controlling surface runoff from flowing into <br />excavations using measures such as curbs, berms, dikes, rock-lined ditches, and other approved <br />measures. Filter fabric fence shall be used to treat small areas of non-concentrated runoff prior to <br />discharge from the site. <br /> Saw-Cutting Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Final Joint Cut, <br />Up To 6-Inch Thickness <br />Specification Section 2-02 <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot (LF) <br />Measurement for saw-cutting will be per linear foot along the true length of the surface cut. <br />The unit price per lineal foot for the final saw-cutting of asphalt concrete pavement, up to 6-inch <br />thickness, shall be full compensation for all labor, material, tools, and equipment necessary to <br />satisfactorily complete the Work as specified in Section 2-02.3(3) of the Special Provisions and as <br />shown on the Plans. The unit price per lineal foot for the final saw-cutting of asphalt concrete <br />pavement, up to 6-inch thickness includes, but is not limited to, the saw-cutting necessary for the <br />final joint between existing pavement and permanent HMA pavement. <br />Include cost of cleanup by vacuum collection and disposal of the cuttings slurry with this bid item <br />as there will be no separate payment for cleanup. <br /> Saw-Cutting Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Final Joint Cut, <br />Additional 1-Inch Thickness <br />Specification Section 2-02 <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot (LF) <br />Measurement for saw-cutting will be per linear foot along the true length of the surface cut. <br />The unit price per lineal foot for the final saw-cutting of asphalt concrete pavement, for each full 1- <br />inch depth beyond the initial 6-inch thickness, shall be full compensation for all labor, material, <br />tools, and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the Work as specified in Section 2- <br />02.3(3) of these Special Provisions and as shown on the Plans.
