CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />Water Main Replacement “Y” – Ph 2 Div B – BID ITEM DESCRIPTIONS <br />Work Order No. UP 3814 SP-29 <br />Category 2: Sensitive information <br />Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law. <br />valve box if necessary; cleanup; and any additional work, materials, and equipment required to <br />install the valves and assembly, except as included in other unit price bids. <br /> Air-Vacuum Valve Assembly, on Existing Bridge Structure, 2-inch <br />Specification Section 7-12 <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) <br />The unit price per each for the air-vacuum valve assembly shall be full compensation for all labor, <br />material, incidentals, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work in <br />accordance with COE construction standards, details shown on the Plans, and requirements of <br />these special provisions, including, but not be limited to, all costs for furnishing and installing pipe, <br />valves, couplings and fittings required; and replacing, protecting, and maintaining utilities. <br /> Air-Vacuum Valve Assembly, 2-inch <br /> Blow-off Assembly, 2-inch <br />Specification Section 7-12 <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) <br />The unit price per each for the assembly shall be full compensation for all labor, material, <br />incidentals, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work in accordance with <br />COE construction standards, standard drawing 511 and 512, and requirements of these special <br />provisions, including, but not be limited to, all costs for excavation; hauling and disposing of surplus <br />or unsuitable material; dewatering; placing and compacting of suitable native backfill; furnishing, <br />placing, and compacting foundation material as required; furnishing and installing pipe, gate valves, <br />couplings and fittings required; and replacing, protecting, and maintaining utilities. <br /> Relocate Existing Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) Station <br />Specification Section 7-12 <br />Measurement and Payment: per Lump Sum (LS) <br />The lump sum price for “Relocate Existing Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) Assembly” shall be full <br />compensation for all labor, material, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to satisfactorily <br />complete the work in accordance with the plans, COE standards, standard drawing No. 521, and <br />requirements of these special provisions, including, but not be limited to, the following: <br />1.All costs for excavation; hauling and disposing of surplus or unsuitable material; dewatering; <br />placing and compacting of suitable native backfill; furnishing, placing, and compacting <br />foundation material as required; protecting, and maintaining utilities. <br />2.Furnishing and installing the new vault structure; assist the City for disassembly of valves and <br />internal piping within existing PRV vault and reassembling within new vault structure. <br />3.Furnishing and installing drainpipe from the vault and connection to existing storm drain system. <br />4.Pressure and purity testing of all watermains and shall include providing temporary blow-offs (if <br />necessary), flushing, and disinfecting as necessary for testing in accordance with 7-09.3(24) of <br />these Special Provisions and COE Standard Drawing No. 526. <br />5.Filling and abandoning existing vault; plugging abandoned pipe connections with minimum of 2- <br />feet of Commercial concrete. <br />Proposed water pipe, valves, and fitting, lying outside the newly placed PRV vault structure shall be <br />paid for under their respective bid items. <br />October 2025
