the inspector. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
<br /> corporation, either as owner, architect, contractor, artisian, or
<br /> otherwise, to do or to cause orpermit to be done, any electric wiring

<br /> or any installing of electric ap
<br /> paratus 9r fixtures, in such manner
<br /> that the same shall not conform to all the provisions of this
<br /> ordinance.
<br /> Section 12: If the inspector shall find any part of any
<br /> electric wiring, apparatus or fixtures , in or about any building in.
<br /> the city of Averett, to have been installed without a permit or not
<br /> in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, or to be danger*,
<br /> ous to life or property, he shall notify, in writing, the owner or
<br /> occupant of such building, to alter, change or replace such electric
<br /> wiring, apparatus or fixtures, so that the same shall comply with the
<br /> provisions of this ordinance, within a period of not less than ten
<br /> (10) nor more than thirty (30) days after such notice. If such
<br /> owner or occupant fails to comply with such notice and does not
<br /> appeal from the decision of such inspector, as is hereinafter provid-
<br /> ed, said inspector shall have the right to disconnect such electric
<br /> wiring,apparatus, or fixtures, and place the seal upon such electric
<br /> wiring, apparatus or fixtures so disconnected. After such disconnect,*
<br /> ed wiring, apparatus or ,fixtures have been altered, changed or
<br /> replaced, as required by this ordinance and such notice, the seal so
<br /> placed upon the same shall be removed by the inspector. It shall be
<br /> unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to use any current in,,
<br /> through, or by means of such disconnected wiring, apparatus or fix-
<br /> tures , or to attach other wires for the supply of current to such
<br /> disconnected wiring, apparatus or fixtures , or to remove, break or
<br /> deface any seal so placed by said inspector.
<br /> Section 13: Approved metallic conduit or approved armored
<br /> conductors will be required for the installation of all wiring of new
<br /> buildings within the fire limits, and of all apartment houses, school
<br /> buildings, and buildings to be used for the purposes of public assemb-
<br /> ly, within the city of Averett.
