The cellar or basdment drains of residences must not <br /> be less than two inches in diameter; drains in all other buildings <br /> to be not less than four inches in diameter. All drains to be <br /> protected from back-water by a back-water valve; and said back-water <br /> valve must be provided with water and air-tight clean-out cover <br /> placed immediately above valve, either screwed or bolted in place, <br /> capable of being removed for examination or repairs. All cellar and <br /> basement drains must be properly trapped and where the natural flow <br /> of water is not continuous must be supplied with water drip to assure <br /> a continuous seal in dry weather.
