The cellar or basdment drains of residences must not be less than two inches in diameter; drains in all other buildings to be not less than four inches in diameter. All drains to be protected from back-water by a back-water valve; and said back-water valve must be provided with water and air-tight clean-out cover placed immediately above valve, either screwed or bolted in place, capable of being removed for examination or repairs. All cellar and basement drains must be properly trapped and where the natural flow of water is not continuous must be supplied with water drip to assure a continuous seal in dry weather. All of above drainc, including drains for stores or dairies, shall be classed as fixtures, when con- nections are two (2) inches or over, and connect to sewer. Section 6: That Section 4ig" of said Ordinance No. 1229 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 47: For the purpose of this ordinance the term "dwelling house" shall be held to mean and include any house used by one or more persons for housekeeping, consisting of one or more rooms, having sleeping and cooking accommodations in connection.
