Exhibit A (Scope of Work) <br />- Repeated/unaddressed concerns. <br />- Anytime 911 is call for assistance or response. <br /> <br />CARE Referral Form submittals will contain: <br />- Individual(s) contacted name and DOB (if willing to provide it). <br />- Contact information for the Individual (s) (cell number, e-mail, FB, etc.). <br />- Time and location of contact. <br /> <br />RSU is expected to engage with individuals through a trauma informed lens, creating a balanced <br />approach between compassion and accountability. Goals of engagement include, but are not <br />limited to: <br /> <br />- Educate community members encountered with community resources. <br />- Inform and educate individuals on City codes and policies and potential repercussions of <br />violating these. <br />- RSU is expected to carry Narcan and administer if needed. 911 must be called anytime <br />this occurs. <br />- Seasonally, RSU will be given the information needed to share about cold weather <br />shelters, cooling and warming centers, etc. <br /> <br />Additional responsibilities: <br />- Attend monthly meetings with the CARE team to discuss and brainstorm case <br />information and ongoing issues they are encountering during patrols. <br /> <br />Regulatory requirements: The Supplier and its applicable employees must adhere to the <br />following statutes and regulations. <br />- Possess and maintain a private security company license as described in RCW <br />18.170.060 and meet all requirements of RCW 18.170. <br />- Possess and maintain a private security guard license and meet all requirements of RCW <br />18.170. <br />- Receive training that meets or exceeds the requirements of WAC 308-18-300 and WAC <br />308-18-305. <br />- Comply with RCW 49.12 and WAC 296-126-092 regarding meal and rest periods. If a <br />guard cannot leave their duty station, breaks and meals must be paid time. <br /> <br />Employees and Conduct: All Security Guards assigned to this contract must: <br />- Be able to read, write, and converse proficiently in the English language. <br />- Maintain professional behavior, attitude, and demeanor. Security guards must treat <br />community members respectfully. <br />- Identify and appropriately report potential criminal behavior to 911 or the City, as <br />needed. As long as the guards' physical safety is not threatened, security guards will <br />engage individuals to deter low-level negative behavior, such as unsanctioned graffiti <br />painting, littering, car prowls, illegal parking, and trespassing.
