PUMP START/STOP IS AUTOMATIC AND CONTROLLED BY MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM DISCHARGE <br /> PRESSURE AND STOP BY HIGH DISCHARGE WATER TEMPERATURE. <br /> • LEAD PUMP WILL ALTERNATE DAILY. <br /> • LAG PUMP WILL START IF THE LEAD PUMP IS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN DISCHARGE PRESSURE. <br /> • LAG PUMP WILL BECOME LEAD IF LEAD PUMP IS IN ALARM CONDITION. <br /> C. PUMP START/STOP — SETPOINT FOR DISCHARGE PRESSURE (70 PSI) WILL BE ADJUSTABLE (AT FBI). <br /> • LEAD PUMP STARTS AT MINIMUM SPEED WHEN SYSTEM DISCHARGE PRESSURE IS BELOW 70 PSI <br /> (ADJ.). PUMP SHALL INCREASE SPEED AS NEEDED TO MAINTAIN DISCHARGE PRESSURE TO <br /> PREVENT OVERSHOOTING SET POINT AND SHORT CYCLING. <br /> • LAG PUMP STARTS AND SLOWLY RAMPS UP TO SPEED WITHIN TO ALLOW LEAD PUMP TO <br /> COMPENSATE AND PREVENT SHORT CYCLING OR OVERSHOOTING THE SEfPOINT WHEN SYSTEM <br /> DISCHARGE PRESSURE BELOW 70 PSI (ADJ.) FOR 15 SECONDS (ADJ.) AND LEAD PUMP SPEED IS <br /> ABOVE 85% (ADJ.). <br /> • BOTH PRESSURE PUMPS ARIES OR DROPS BELOW 70 1 %(ADJ SPEED IN UNISON AS SYSTEM DISCHARGE <br /> PSI REFERENCE D RAW N G S <br /> • LAG PUMPS STOP — SYSTEM DISCHARGE PRESSURE AT 70 PSI (ADJ.) FOR 90 SECONDS (ADJ.) <br /> AND BOTH PUMP SPEED IS BELOW 40% (ADJ.). <br /> • LEAD PUMP WILL STOP — SYSTEM DISCHARGE PRESSURE AT 70 PSI (ADJ.) FOR 90 SECONDS <br /> (ADJ.)
