reservoir capacity of not exceeding one gallon. <br /> Section 2. STORAGE TANKS IN PUBLIC PLACES: It shall be <br /> unlawful for any ps"son, firm or corporation, within the limits of <br /> the city of Everett , to construct, locate or maintain any storage <br /> tank for fuel oil , or any of the products of petroleum in any street, <br /> alley or public place without first obtaining and having a permit <br /> therefor from the city council of the city of Everett so to do.. <br /> In order to obtain the permit provided for in this section the owner <br /> or lessee of said premises abutting upon any public place shall file <br /> with the commissioner of public works an application in writing <br /> therefor , showing the portion or portions of the public place desired <br /> to be occupied, and the plans and specifications in accordance with <br /> which it is proposed to construct and maintain same , and the said <br /> commissioner shall, after having secured thereon the recommendations <br /> of the inspector of buildings and the chief of the fire department, <br /> transmit same to the city council, which council may, if it finds <br /> that such oil tank can be constructed and maintained without unduly <br /> interfering with or obstructing the use of such public place , in its <br /> reasonable discretion grant the permit . <br /> The work of subsequently installing such tank tvice or <br /> apparatus shall be under the supervision of the chief of the fire <br /> department and the inspector of buildings. Back filling for excavation <br /> and replacing of foundation in pavement shall be done by the com- <br /> missioner of public works at the expense of the owner of said tank, <br /> device or apparatus. <br /> • Section 3: PERMIT TO OWNER ; COVENANT REQUIRED: No permit <br /> to occupy for storage of fuel oil , except as hereinafter provided, <br /> any public place shall be granted or issued until the owner of the <br /> premises in connection with which such public place is to be used <br /> shall have, in the manner provided by law for the execution of deeds, <br /> executed and delivered to the city council of the city of Everett an <br />
