<br />Lenora Regional SW Facility Division P – Proposal Nov. 2025 <br />Work Order # UP3792 SP - l <br />Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law. <br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. The contract unit price shall be full payment for <br />furnishing the tools, labor, equipment, and materials required for the excavation, removal and disposal <br />of existing soils, backfill, compaction, and other work required. The work also includes all costs in <br />connection with design and submittal of the shoring system, predrilling and the equipment and labor <br />necessary to install shoring. <br />Shoring not shown on the plans or that is installed by the Contractor to protect areas adjacent to 1st <br />Avenue and Lenora Street adjacent to the SW Treatment Facility while the structures are under <br />construction is considered incidental to the project and no separate payment shall be made. <br />Extra excavation may not be used in lieu of constructing the shoring where it is indicated on the plans. <br />The contract price shall be full payment for furnishing the tools, labor, equipment, and materials required <br />for the excavation, backfill, and compaction necessary for installation of storm sewer main in <br />accordance with the plans, specifications, and geotechnical report. <br />This item does NOT include excavation and backfill within the standard pipe trench pipe zone and <br />backfill for utility trenches footprint outlined in the typical trench sections of the standard plans, and pipe <br />installation specifications. <br />If the Engineer requires shoring, cofferdams or caissons when the contract provides no bid item for <br />such work, the Contracting Agency will pay as provided in Section 1-04.4. <br />The cost for geosynthetic filter fabric, drains, and construction of the structural drainage system is <br />considered incidental to the project. <br />Unless included as a separate bid item, the use of Controlled Density Fill (CDF) in place of normal <br />backfill shall be considered a convenience to the Contractor, and as such, the costs associated with <br />CDF shall be incidental to the project. <br /> Dewatering Structures – Lenora Flow Split Vault <br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. The unit price for Dewatering shall be full <br />compensation for dewatering plan submittals and coordination, furnishing all material, equipment, tools, <br />and labor necessary to dewater the excavations on the project in accordance with Section 2-09, the <br />site-specific dewatering plan per Section 2-09.3(1), and in accordance with the ECY, state and local <br />regulatory requirements. Other items included, but is not limited to, this work are: <br />1. Coordination, preparation, submittal, and implementation of the Dewatering Plan that entails <br />how water from dewatering operations will be handled and disposed of. Including costs <br />associated with submitting and obtaining written approvals from the City for use of their sites <br />and facilities. <br />2. Designing, furnishing, operating, and maintaining the pumps and pumping systems. <br />3. TV inspection, cleaning, flushing, and decontamination of the City sewer facilities following <br />pumping operations. Additional cleaning and inspections required will be at the Contractor’s <br />expense. <br />4. Providing storage tanks with sizing and design to settle and store stormwater for TESC treatment <br />system and for the discharge flow rate. <br />5. The cost for the treatment system is included under TESC treatment system bid item. <br /> Crushed Surfacing Top Course
