CITY OF EVERETT BID SET <br />EVERETT STATION HVAC AND CONTROLS IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT NO. 24-3201 <br /> <br />01 11 00 -1 SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> <br />GENERAL <br />1.01 WORK COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT <br /> The Work includes, but not limited to, the replacement of the DDC building controller, VAV controllers, <br />thermostats, and connecting infrastructure. Also includes replacement of the 3 existing rooftop McQuay VAV <br />air handlers. Includes replacement of hydronic control valves at the air handlers. Also includes re-balancing <br />of the air and hydronic systems. The project is partially funded by a Federal Transit Administration grant and <br />has associated project requirements at the Everett Transit Station at 3201 Smith Avenue, Everett, WA 98201. <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION: The following is a general outline and is not intended to be a complete listing of the work <br />to be accomplished nor is it intended to be used to indicate the order the work is to be completed. All items <br />listed below is a general list of items included in the work and should be verified prior to bidding. The Work <br />includes but is not limited to the supply and installation of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to <br />perform the work in full. <br /> Base Bid includes the following items: <br /> Controls and HVAC renovations. <br /> Air and hydronic balancing. <br /> Ceiling and finish repairs. <br /> Associated electrical support work and plumbing modifications and additions. <br /> Site cleanup and restoration. <br /> Work under the Contract shall also include: <br /> Protection of work in place and all stored items relating to the work. <br /> Moving of any stored items or temporary facility where it interferes with work by the Owner or <br />under separate contract. <br />1.02 WORK BY OTHERS <br /> OTHER CONTRACTS: The Owner shall have the right to let other Contracts in connection with the Work, and <br />the Contractor shall cooperate with any such Contractors. <br /> "N.I.C." Items indicated "NIC" shall be furnished and installed by the Owner, or by other Contracts. <br />1.03 WORK BY THE OWNER <br /> The Owner shall have the right to access the site and execute work not included in the Contract concurrent <br />with this contract period. Contractor shall cooperate with such Owner sponsored efforts. <br />1.04 PERMITS <br /> The Owner will pay the cost of the general plan review and building permit. The Contractor shall be <br />responsible to obtain and pay the cost of various other permits and connection fees required such as <br />mechanical, plumbing and electrical permits or connection fees and such shall be included in the Bid.
