<br /> in a dangerous manner, or in such manner that the same shall be in
<br /> danger of taking or communicating fire, is hereby declared to be
<br /> unlawful.
<br /> DISPOSAL OF HAY, STRAW, SHAVINGS, WASTA, etc.
<br /> Section 3: It shall be unlawful for any person being the
<br /> owner or occupant, or having the control of any premises within
<br /> said city, to throw, cast, deposit , or permit to remain upon such
<br /> premises or upon any street, alley, or sidewalk in front of such
<br /> premises , or for any person to cast upon any premises , public or
<br /> private, in said city, any waste, ashes, barrels , shavings, paper,
<br /> hay, straw, litter, or combustible material of any kind, either lose
<br /> or confined, except the same be placed in a safe receptacle of
<br /> galvanized iron or other incombustible material, so as to be safe
<br /> from fire.
<br /> Section 4: It shall be unlawful for any person,being the
<br /> owner or occupant, or having control of any premises within said city,
<br /> to maintain, allow or suffer to remain upon any roof any accumulation
<br /> of moss , paper, hay, straw or other combustible or inflammable
<br /> material or substance.
<br /> DISPOSITION OF ASHES ,, BURNING COALS AND j I RN;RS.
<br /> Section 5: It shall be unlawful to deposit any ashes,
<br /> burning coals or embers within ten (10) feet of any building, fence,
<br /> sidewalk, pavement or structure made of wood or other combustible
<br /> material, or within ten (10) feet of any lumber, timber, wood, hay,
<br /> straw, shavings, rubbish, or combustible or inflammable materials or
<br /> substances, except in metallic, earthen or other non-combustible
<br /> receptacles; provided, that such materials may be deposited in certain
<br /> places designated by the chief of the fire department.
<br /> Section 6: It shall be the duty of the owner, lessee or
<br /> agent of any building used or occupied for lodgings or off. ices, (or
<br /> building or structure where ashes, burning coals or embers accumulate)
<br /> to provide sufficient receptacles of metallic , earthen or non-com-
