• <br /> the penal sum of one thousand ( ,1,000) dollars, with securities to be <br /> approved by the Mayor of said city, conditioned that such applicant or <br /> applicants will, in all -respects, comply with and faithfully perform all. <br /> the provisions of this ordinance, of Ordinance No. 1449, and all other <br /> ordinances now or hereafter passed relating to the business conducted <br /> by such applicant under such license, and shall also pay to the city <br /> Treas-rer the amount of license fee hereinafter required of him. <br /> Section 5: The license fee of junk and second hand dealer <br /> is hereby fixed at the sum of fifty ( 50.00) dollars per annum. The <br /> license fee of pawnbrokers is hereby fixed at the sum of forty ($40.00) <br /> dollars per annum. <br /> Section 6: All licenses granted under this ordinance shall <br /> be for the period. of one year from the date hereof, and shall be issued <br /> by the City Clerk: under the seal of said city, upon a receipt from the <br /> City Treasurer showing payment of the license fee, after written permiss— <br /> ion granted by the Commissioner of Safety, and upon the filing of the <br /> bond required, properly approved as aforesaid; and all such licenses <br /> shall be revocable for violation of any- ordinance relating to such <br /> business, and shall contain a provision making them revocable by the <br /> City Council without liability to repay any unearned portion of said <br /> fee, and without in any manner preventing the City from enforcing any- <br /> other penalties against such dealer. <br /> Section 7 : No person shall engage in any of such businesses <br /> in more than one place, or maintain more than one shop or store for the <br /> same, by virtue of one license; and whenever the holder of any such <br /> license desires to remove his place of business he shall at once notify <br /> the Chief of Police in writing of such removal, giving the street and <br /> number of place to which removal is made. <br /> Section 8: Every person licensed under this ordinance <br /> shall cause his name, or the name under which he does business, followed <br /> by the words "Licensed Junk Dealer", "Licensed Second Hand Dealer", <br /> or "Licensed Pawnbroker", as the case may be, to be printed or <br /> painted in large plain English characters, and placed over the out • <br /> — <br />
