issue the necessary certification evidencing the registration of the pull <br /> tabs and punch boards. The nature of such certification shall be in such <br /> form as the City Treasurer shall deem appropriate. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 2: Underage Violations. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age <br /> of eighteen(18) years to participate in any way in any gambling activities even though <br /> such activities may be otherwise authorized by the laws of the State of Washington. <br /> Section 3: Section 3 of Ordinance No. 251-73 (EMC 5.108.030)which reads <br /> as follows: <br /> Section 3: Every person, association, or organization utilizing, displaying, <br /> exhibiting, or possessing such pull tabs or punch boards with the intent to sell <br /> chances thereon shall register with the City Treasurer, or his designee, in the <br /> following manner: <br /> (a) That the pull tabs and punch boards be specifically authorized pursuant to the <br /> requirements of Chapter 218, Laws of 1973, 1st Ex. Sess., and the rules and <br /> regulations and other requirements of the "Washington State Gambling <br /> Commission." <br /> (b) That the applicant disclose the name and address of the person, association, or <br /> organization so utilizing, displaying, exhibiting, or possessing such pull tabs or <br /> punch boards with the intent to sell chances thereon, and the place such <br /> activities are intended to be conducted. <br /> (c) The applicant shall pay a registration fee of$25.00 per year for each location <br /> in which he intends to conduct such activities <br /> (d) Upon fulfillment of the above requirements, the City Treasurer, or his designee, <br /> shall issue the necessary certification evidencing the registration of such person, <br /> association, or organization so utilizing, displaying, exhibiting, or possessing such <br /> pull tabs or punch boards with the intent to sell chances thereon, and the locations <br /> in which such activities are intended to be conducted. The nature of such <br /> certification shall be in such form as the City Treasurer shall deem appropriate. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 3: Criminal Sanctions. Any person found guilty of the violation of any <br /> provision of this chapter shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not exceeding Five <br /> Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or confined in jail for a term not exceeding ninety (90) days, <br /> or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> 5 <br />
