CORRECTIVE ACTIONS REQUIRED: The Responsible Person(s)shall take the following actions to correct the <br /> Code Violations at the Property: <br /> 1. Submit complete permit applications to City of Everett Permit Services for all the necessary and <br /> required permits to correct all of the violations cited above. <br /> Information on the City of Everett permit application process and required documents can be <br /> found online at everettwa.gov/permits <br /> 2. Once permits are obtained,correct and complete all of the deficiencies that are present. <br /> 3. Obtain final inspection approval by Permit Services for all permits. <br /> Complete all corrective actions not later than January 14,2026 <br /> Note that all required permits(if applicable)to perform the corrective action must be obtained from the <br /> proper issuing agency. <br /> CIVIL PENALTIES: If the corrective action is not completed by the date set for compliance, a monetary <br /> penalty in the amount of$250 shall accrue for each day or portion thereof that each violation continues <br /> beyond the date for compliance set in this Notice and Order, until compliance with the Notice and Order <br /> is achieved. (EMC 1.20.190) <br /> IMPORTANT NOTE: PAYMENT OF THE MONETARY PENALTY DOES NOT RELIEVE THE VIOLATOR OF THE <br /> DUTY TO CORRECT, ABATE OR STOP THE CODE VIOLATIONS AND/OR PAY ANY AND ALL OTHER COST <br /> ASSESSED. <br /> COST OF ENFORCEMENT: Per EMC 1.20.180, the City is authorized to recovery any and all costs of <br /> enforcement related to ensuring the Property is brought into compliance. <br /> RECORDING: This Notice and Order may be recorded with the Snohomish County Assessor's Office, <br /> subsequent to service of the Notice on the responsible person(s).(EMC 1.20.140) <br /> FAILURE TO COMPLY: Per EMC 1.20.120(C), if any of the work is not commenced or completed within the <br /> time specified for compliance or any assessed penalty, fee or cost is not paid by the specified due date, <br /> the City may proceed to abate the violation, cause work to be done, and assess the costs and expenses <br /> of abatement incurred by the City against the person responsible, including the vacating the Property <br /> and boarding up the structures on the Property. Additionally, the City may take any other legal action, <br /> including liening the Property for the costs of the abatement and any unpaid fines or penalties. Further, <br /> failure to correct the violations cited in this Notice may lead to the suspension, revocation, modification, <br /> and/or denial of current or subsequent City of Everett permit applications on the Property. <br /> TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP: It is unlawful to sell,transfer, mortgage, lease, or dispose of the Property unless <br /> the property owner has complied with EMC 1.20.090. <br /> RIGHT TO APPEAL:Any person named in the Notice and Order or having any record or equitable title in the <br /> property against which the Notice and Order is recorded may appeal the Notice and Order to the <br /> hearing examiner within 14 days of the date of service of the Notice and Order.
