or surgeon shall display on his vehicle when responding to such call <br /> a sign with the word "emergency" on it. Said sign shall be in <br /> such size and form, and be displayed in such manner as the Conimiss- <br /> ioner. of Public Safety shall direct. <br /> Section 18: TTo person shall ride, drive or propel any <br /> automobile, motorcycle or other motor vehicle, except as specified in <br /> Section 17 , at a greater rate of speed than twenty (20) miles <br /> per hour along, over or through any public place within the limits <br /> of the city of Everett, or to pass or cross any street intersection <br /> or around any corner within the limits of the city of Everett except <br /> on a downgrade at a greater rate of speed than eight (8) miles per <br /> hour , or at a greater rate of speed than ten (10) miles per hour <br /> on an up-grade. <br /> Section 13: The following vehicles, in the order named, <br /> shall have the right-of-way in the use of all streets and public <br /> places , viz: apparatus of the Fire Department, Police Patrol Wagons , <br /> Ambulances responding to emergency calls, emergency repair wagons <br /> of the street railway companies, and United States Mail Wagons. <br /> Section 20: The driver of a vehicle or street car on the <br /> approach of apparatus of the Fire Department, shall immediately draw <br /> up said vehicle as near as practicable to the right hand curb and <br /> parallel thereto, and bring his vehicle to a stop. At points where <br /> the fire alarm semaphores are located, when alarm bell rings, and <br /> semaphore drops, all vehicles and street cars , within sight or hear- <br /> ing of this alarm shall follow the directions indicated above, and <br /> shall remain stopped until the alarm ceases ringing and semaphore <br /> lifts, and then proceed only in the event that there is no fire <br /> apparatus approaching. <br /> Section 21: No vehicle or street car shall so occupy any <br /> street as to interfere with or interrupt the passage of other street <br /> cars or vehicles. <br /> � t n,t *4'4 <br />
