to police , fire or emergency alarms. <br /> Section 15: No person shall ride, drive or propel any <br /> automobile, or other motor vehicle between the hours of sunset and <br /> sunrise, unless there shall be fastened to the front thereof at <br /> least two (2) white lights of sufficient candle power to enable <br /> the person driving or operating such vehicle to clearly see ahead <br /> a distance of at least two hundred (200) feet, and one red light <br /> so fixed as to be invisible from the front and visible from the <br /> rear for a distance of at least one hundred (100) feet. <br /> Section 16: No person shall propel or cause to be pro- <br /> pelled any street car within the business or thickly settled <br /> residential districts at a speed exceeding fifteen (15) miles ;.)er <br /> hour. <br /> Section 17: No person shall ride or drive, or cause to <br /> be ridden or driven, any horse or horses, whether attached to any <br /> vehicle or not, at a greater rate of speed than twelve (12) miles <br /> per hour, over, along or through any street within the business or <br /> thickly settled residential districts, nor shall any person ride <br /> or drive any such animal at a greater rate of speed than six (6) <br /> miles per hour across any street intersection within said districts, <br /> nor ride or drive any such ani!nal over, through or upon any public <br /> place in the city of r;verett at a greater rate of speed than fifteen <br /> (15) miles per, hour; provided however, that this section shall not <br /> apply to horses or vehicles used by the Fire, Police, or Health and <br /> Sanitation Departments of the city of Everett, or to ambulances <br /> when responding to an emergency call, or to United States 'Fail <br /> vehicles , or to emergency repair wagons or vehicles of the Street <br /> Railway Companies when answering emergency calls; provided said <br /> vehicles are supplied with suitable gongs of sufficient power to <br /> be heard four hundred (400) feet in a business district, and, <br /> provided further, that this section shall not apply to physicians <br /> and surgeons answering emergency calls provided that such physician <br /> wk �h� is � 2'�z',�r as try .� '� �., a+ ',p <br /> �z, 3, zpr <br />
