<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Handling and Disposal of Lead-Based Paint <br />Project No. 180162 02 83 33 - 1 <br /> <br />SECTION 02 83 33 <br />HANDLING AND DISPOSAL OF LEAD-BASED PAINT <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. Perform all Work and disposal of lead-based paint in accordance with all applicable laws <br />and regulations. <br />1.02 REFERENCES <br />A. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), all applicable requirements, most recent edition. <br />B. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), most recent edition: <br />1. 29 CFR 1926.62. <br />C. Washington Administrative Code (WAC) <br />1. WAC 296-62-07521 Lead <br />1.03 DEFINITIONS <br />A. LBP: Lead-based paint <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. In accordance with Section 01 33 00 – Submittal Procedures <br />B. Contractor shall furnish training records, work practices, analytical reports, clean up and <br />disposal records. In complying with this requirement, Contractor shall conform to all <br />requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and <br />Health Administration (OSHA) and WAC covering the handling and disposal of LBP. <br />C. Copy Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest: <br />1. Execute manifest form completely and accurately. <br />2. Identify "Generator" as “City of Everett”. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 DISPOSAL SITES <br />A. Materials and debris containing LBP shall be disposed at: <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 NOTIFICATION <br />A. Contractor shall notify Engineer a minimum of 72 hours in advance of working in areas <br />requiring disturbance of LBP.
