<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Concrete Repair <br />Project No. 180162 03 01 00 - 5 <br /> <br />C. Hot-Weather Requirements: Protect repair work when temperature and humidity <br />conditions produce excessive evaporation of water from patching materials. Provide <br />artificial shade, wet cure methods, wind breaks, and use cooled materials as required. <br />Do not apply to substrates with temperatures of 90 deg F and above. <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GENERAL <br />A. Source Limitations: For repair products, where practical, obtain each grade, finish, type, <br />and variety of product from single source and from single manufacturer with resources to <br />provide products of consistent quality in appearance and physical properties. <br />B. All materials shall be free of chlorides and other chemicals causing corrosion. <br />2.02 REINFORCEMENT PROTECTION <br />A. Bonding and Anti-corrosion Agent: Manufactured product that consists of an extended <br />open time, water-insensitive epoxy adhesive/primer solution of corrosion-inhibiting <br />chemicals that forms a protective film on steel reinforcement. <br />1. BASF Corporation, MasterProtect P 8100AP. <br />2. Sika Corporation, Armatec 110 EpoCem. <br />3. Simpson Strong-Tie FX-406. <br />4. Approved equal. <br />2.03 SPRAY (OR TROWEL APPLIED) MORTAR SYSTEM (VERTICAL SURFACE REPAIR) <br />A. Mortar: One component, cementitious-based, fiber reinforced, shrinkage compensated, <br />gray in color, with a minimum working time of 30-minutes. <br />1. Sprayable and trowel-able, extremely low permeability, sulfate resistant, easy to use <br />and requiring only the addition of manufacturer’s specialty liquid admixture. <br />B. Manufacturer and Products: <br />1. A.W. Cook Cement Products, Inc, Silatec MSM Microsilica Mortar. <br />2. BASF Corporation, MasterEmaco S 488CI with Concresive liquid (LPL). <br />3. Euclid Chemical Company, Tamms Structural Mortar. <br />4. Sauereisen Inc, Restokrete No. F-121. <br />5. Sika Corporation, SikaRepair 224 with Latex R. <br />6. Simpson Strong-Tie, CSS-CM or FX-263. <br />7. Tnemec Company, Mortarcrete series 217. <br />8. Approved equal. <br />2.04 POLYMER-MODIFIED REPAIR MORTAR (VERTICAL SURFACE REPAIR) <br />A. Mortar: two components, polymer-modified, cementitious based, chloride resistant, gray <br />in color, minimum working time of 20 minutes. <br />1. Hand applied, extremely low permeability, easy to use and requiring only the addition <br />of water or manufacturer’s specialty liquid admixture.
